                                                                       Heritage Center

The proposed Heritage Center will feature historical information, data, and exhibits reflecting local heritage and culture. All exhibits will be attractively displayed to residents and visitors for personal enlightenment, edification and education. The Heritage Center represents a strategic and fundamental component in the continuation of Jessup's multi-faceted Business District Revitalization Project and overall economic development throughout the Lackawanna Corridor.

The original Saint James Church built in 1887, 801 Church Street, Jessup, represents the structure of choice for the Heritage Center. The building has historic significance having been built on the foundation of a chapel meant to serve Mexican immigrants to Jessup.
